The test costs $587 AUD and candidate research shows that 85% consider OET to be excellent or above average value for money.

  • AUD $587.00  – To sit all four OET sub-tests, including the AUD $7 online booking

With no paper forms or walk-in services, you can manage your entire booking process from your computer.


To book your OET on paper simply:

  1. Login to the booking portal and click the Apply for the test tab. If you have not taken OET before, register your details and then login to apply for the test. Ensure you have an acceptable ID to bring on test day. For further information about IDs, please refer to FAQ: What ID can I use to book and sit OET?
  2. Complete the requested fields and proceed through each step with care. 
  3. Review your times, location, and profession.
  4. Proceed to checkout.
  5. Fill out your credit card details on the secure screen and finalise your booking.


Note: You’ll have 15 minutes to fill out your credit card details before your booking expires.

Quick Read:

  • You can defer your test up to 23:59 pm the day before the test.

If you are unable to attend your original test date, you can defer your OET booking to another date, venue, or test type, subject to the conditions and fees below.

To view your booking closing date simply:

  • Go to test dates and locations
  • From the drop down menu select your test type and country
  • Find your test
  • Your booking closing date will be displayed


How do I defer my test?

  • Log in to your myOET candidate profile
  • Click the small arrow in the Action column under ‘My Applications
  • Click ‘Defer’
  • Choose your new test date and/or venue
  • Confirm


Note:

  • You can defer your test at any time including the day of the test, if you have NOT gone through the test day registration process at the test venue,
  • Test day deferrals are subject to approval, you must complete the online Test Day Deferral form  and submit this on the day of the test.
  • You must defer your whole application.
  • A deferral cannot be reversed.

You will need a valid and original ID (Passport, UMID/SSS, PRC ID, or National ID), a passport-size photo (for your myOET account profile), and payment using a credit/debit card (Visa/Mastercard only)

Quick read

We accept the following forms of identification:

  1. Passport: a valid passport displaying your full name, date of birth, photograph, and expiry date.
  2. National Government Issued ID*: any single form of identification issued by the national government in the country you are sitting the OET (this excludes driver license). ID must include your full name, photograph, and date of birth (DoB) – all these features must be recorded on one form of national ID.

A valid national ID must be in English lettering and should include: your full name, photograph and date of birth (DoB) – all of these features must be recorded on the one form of national ID.

Quick read

  • We intend to get back your results 12 business days after you take OET.
  • Log in to your myOET profile to see your results on the dashboard.
  • You can view, download, and print your electronic Statement of Results.


We know you can’t wait to get your results, which is why we intend to get them back to you 12 business days after you take the test.


You will be able to access your results through your myOET profile:

  • On your dashboard under the heading MY TEST HISTORY
  • Please scroll across to GRADE to view your result for each sub-test


To view and download your Statement of Results:

  • You can view and download your statement of results via your myOET portal
  • On the left side of your test details, you will see an ACTION column
  • Under the ACTION column, there are small black triangles
  • Click on one of these triangles, then “download statement of results”
  • If you are unable to download your statement of results please enable all pop-ups in your web browser.
